The Weekend experience is one that is meant to be shared! Expand the impact of your commitment and create a team. Not only will you empower others to do something amazing, your training and fundraising becomes easier and is more fun when done with friends!
We encourage team spirit and with our Pacesetters Program, elite teams are recognized for their extraordinary efforts. These amazing teams are groups of individuals dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer and gynecologic cancers by spreading awareness and raising a significant amount of money to further this cause. In fact, these Pacesetters recruit the most people and raise the most money.

Pacesetters Program
Weekend Pacesetters are extraordinary teams who go above and beyond to support the efforts of The Weekend. The hard work that The Weekend Pacesetters put forth certainly does not go unnoticed. We want to highlight the efforts of these amazing Walkers, as a way to give back to them for all of their contributions to this event. As a special thank you, teams will receive rewards and recognition for their participation in The Weekend.
There is no sign up required to be a Weekend Pacesetter. Just visit "Meet our Pacesetters" for a list of Pacesetters who have met these extraordinary levels of achievement.

Pacesetters Details
White Ribbon Pacesetters Minimum 5 members on your team AND $10,000 raised by team
- Online recognition for team and Captain on website
- Special Weekend Pacesetter ribbons to wear on event for all team members
- Extra token of appreciation at Sunday finish line
Red Ribbon Pacesetters Minimum 10 members on your team AND $20,000 raised by team
- All of the above, plus;
- Team Captain invitation to special post-event recognition affair
Blue Ribbon Pacesetters Minimum 25 members on your team AND $50,000 raised by team
- All of the above, plus;
- Team Name and Captain’s name on a special 2010 Weekend plaque to be displayed

How to Create a Team
To create a team after you are already registered as an individual participant, simply call or email The Weekend office and they will happily do it for you.
If you have already created your team, your friends can search for your team on the website and register and join your existing team. If you haven’t registered, you can register yourself and your team at the same time by selecting “Create a Team” and when the Team Captain is registered, then click “Join a Team” for the rest of the team members.
Important: Each team member must raise his or her own minimum individual fundraising requirement of $2,000 for the 2-day walk or $1,250 for the 1-day walk. A donation can only be attributed to one participant’s donation account. We cannot split donations between team members.
